Ayafy
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 June 2026
Ayafy has no accounts. Your memorization and reading progress stays on your device. We use ads to support the free app, subscriptions to remove ads, and limited crash and usage data to keep the app stable and improve it.
This policy describes how Ayafy (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use the Ayafy app. We aim to collect as little as possible and to be transparent about it.
What we collect
Information you give us
None. The app has no account, login, or sign-up. We never ask for your name, email, or phone number.
Information collected automatically
To keep the app stable, understand how it's used, show ads, and manage subscriptions, we use a small number of third-party services. This data is not linked to your real identity by us.
Stack traces, error messages, breadcrumbs (recent app activity), device type, OS & app version, approximate IP address, and a random auto-generated identifier.
An app-generated pseudonymous ID, screen views, chapter opens, aggregate session counts (e.g. how many verses memorized), theme choice, and app lifecycle events. No verse text or personal notes.
The Android app may use the Google Advertising ID and ad-related signals to request, deliver, measure, and limit ads. In regions where consent is required, Google may show a consent form before ads are requested.
Subscription status, product identifiers, transaction state, anonymous RevenueCat customer identifiers, and related purchase events used to unlock Ayafy Pro and remove ads. Payment card details are handled by Apple or Google, not by Ayafy.
Data stored only on your device
Your memorization progress, reading progress, theme, and settings are stored locally in a database on your device. This is never sent to us or any server, and is removed when you uninstall the app.
Content fetched for you
To show Quran text, translations, and transliteration, the app fetches
verse content from api.quran.com. These are anonymous
read-only requests with no information about you.
What we don't collect
- Name, email, phone, or contacts
- Accounts or login credentials
- Location
- Photos, media, or files
- Camera, microphone, or audio
- Payment card numbers or bank account details
- Web browsing history
The Android app requests the INTERNET permission to
download Quran content and connect to the services above. It also
declares com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID so the
Google Mobile Ads SDK can access the Android Advertising ID for ads.
How data is shared
We don't sell your information. The data above is processed by:
- Sentry — crash reporting. Privacy policy
- PostHog — product analytics. Privacy policy
- Google AdMob — advertising and ad consent. Privacy policy
- RevenueCat — subscription management. Privacy policy
Your choices
- Control ad consent. Where available, use the in-app privacy controls to reset the Google ad consent form. You can also reset or delete your device's advertising ID in Android settings.
- Remove ads. Ayafy Pro removes ads while your subscription is active. Purchases and cancellations are managed through Apple or Google.
- Opt out of analytics. Use the app offline, or email us at khalisa.dev@gmail.com to have collection disabled. (An in-app toggle is planned.)
- Delete your data. Your on-device progress is removed by uninstalling the app or clearing its data.
- Request deletion of analytics. Email us and we'll delete any analytics or crash data tied to your identifier.
Children's privacy
The app is for general use and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. We deliberately avoid accounts and sensitive permissions, and we configure ad requests with child-directed treatment turned off. If you believe a child has shared information via the app, contact us so we can delete it.
Security & retention
We limit collection to what's needed and use reputable processors. On-device data is kept until you uninstall; analytics and crash data is retained by our processors per their practices — you can request earlier deletion anytime.
International transfers
Data may be processed where our third-party services are located (including the United States). By using the app, you consent to these transfers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally. When we do, we'll revise the “Last updated” date above.
